Israeli PM Ariel Sharon talks about withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, but meanwhile construction of settlements in the illegally occupied West Bank continue to accelerate. The ‘separation wall’ being built by the Israeli state within the West Bank is cutting farmers off from their fields, workers from their jobs, students from their schools, the sick from hospitals. 90% of water in Palestine is now controlled by Israel.
The reality of the ‘cease-fire’ for ordinary Palestinians has been continued arrests, raids and murders by the Israeli Defence Force, and restrictions on daily life which add still further to the massive poverty and unemployment of Palestinians.
In all of this corporations operating in Britain are complicit and active participants, reaping the rewards of the plunder and exploitation. It’s time they were called to account!
On Sat 25th June a series of powerful visual non-violent actions will take place simultaneously in the centre of Newcastle, all directed against key corporate sponsors of Israeli apartheid. All are welcome. To take part, assemble:
